We are always looking for new volunteers to come in and join us! We offer different volunteer opportunities such as: individual volunteering, one-day volunteering, group volunteering, and court-ordered community service.

Make an account on our volunteer software Give Pulse and go to the “events” tab to register for a volunteer orientation date. The orientation includes a tour around the building and an overview of volunteer policies and procedures. We’re incredibly grateful for your time, energy, and support!
While there is no cost to volunteer, a suggested donation of $25 helps us cover the cost of volunteer t-shirts, equipment, and training materials. This is completely optional and greatly appreciated.

You must complete 10 hours of basic duties around the Fred SPCA in order to move on to dog walking/training.
There is a minimum of 2 hours per month to remain active in our volunteer database. Our program offers many ways for you to learn and grow within the organization. If there is something in particular that you would love to help out with, reach out to the Volunteer Specialist to see how you can learn more about a specific area of interest.
Yes, you must be 16 years or older to volunteer at the Fred SPCA without guardian supervision. If you have a child under 16 years old, they may volunteer with you so long as you are supervising your child at all times.
Dog walking volunteers are so important and always needed! Register as a volunteer above, and after 10 completed hours you will have an opportunity to go through our dog walking training.
We do! If someone needs to do community service for school or an extracurricular activity, register as a volunteer above.
If it is *court ordered, or hours being shown to the court, you may complete your hours after having filled out the community service application packet. Please email [email protected] to inquire about community service.
