Empty the Shelters

The Fredericksburg SPCA is thrilled to partner with the Bissell Pet Foundation to bring you Empty the Shelters from July 7 – 11. There will be reduced fee adoptions of $25 (plus a $10 microchip fee) for animals 7 months and older.

There will be three ways to take part in Empty the Shelters!

1.) APPLY ONLINE FOR ANIMALS IN FOSTER:
During these days, you can apply for animals in foster care utilizing our online application and arrange for a virtual or in-person meet-and-greet.

2.) MAKE A PRIVATE MATCHMAKING SESSION FOR ANIMALS AT THE FACILITY:
To make an adoption appointment to have a private one-on-one Matchmaking session for available animals at the facility, please make your appointment online at fredspca.org/adopt. These appointments will fill up fast, so keep your eyes peeled! Appointments will open up online 7 days prior to the event. Our Matchmaking sessions are to help match you with a good fit for your lifestyle, so please note, animals you see as available on the website may no longer be available at the time of your appointment.

3.) COME TO OUR PETCO ADOPTION EVENT SAT JULY 10th:
Join the FredSPCA at Petco (5717 Plank Rd) from 10 AM – 2 PM to meet a handful of our adoptable animals! We will have staff and volunteers on-site to do same-day adoptions, collect donations and answer questions about our programs.
