July brought the heat and the happily-ever-afters.
We sent 63 cats and 24 dogs out the door and into new lives, complete with couches to conquer and snack cabinets to supervise. Some of those lucky pups made their way to us from Central Texas, where severe flooding had overwhelmed local shelters. By welcoming a few of their residents to the Fredericksburg SPCA, we helped free up space in Texas for displaced pets to stay close to home, making it easier for families to reunite with their beloved companions. It was teamwork across state lines, and we’re proud to have played a small part in a much bigger mission.
July was a solid month for adoptions, and if the universe is listening, we’d love to make August an even bigger celebration of fresh starts and forever families.
