SPCA of Fredericksburg : COVID-19 UPDATE
3/20/2020 | Carrie Withers
The Fredericksburg SPCA is continuing to closely monitor the COVID-19 Pandemic. As of today we will continue to take in essential cases for animal care and reduce our non-essential intake.
In an effort to reduce the risk of exposure the shelter operations will be closed to the public until March 31, 2020 to help keep our staff, volunteers, families and our community safe. We are working to get all of our remaining animals into urgent foster care placement within the next 48 hours. If you are able to become a foster please sign up at our website www.fredspca.org/foster.
Our adoptions will be by appointment only through March 31, 2020. We have lots of wonderful animals that are always looking for homes, so please check out our website for adoptable animals at www.fredspca.org/adopt. If you would like to adopt one of our animals please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to set up an appointment.
If you are a People Empowered through Support Client, know that we are here for you now more than ever. We understand the impact this is going to have on our community. If you are in need of pet food for your animal, please reach out to us at email@example.com.
We are a not for profit organization and now more than ever we are in desperate need of your financial support in order for us to keep doing what we do best, helping to change the lives of people and their pets. Our wish is for our community to stay happy, healthy and well during these difficult times. If you can make a financial donation please make your gift HERE.
Our Executive Team will be re-evaluating our plans on an ongoing basis to adjust plans if necessary, so please stay tuned to us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and our website at FredSPCA.org. Thank you all for your ongoing support and for your understanding during this time. Stay healthy and well!
All My Best,
Carrie Withers, Executive Director
